UC Festival of Trees

Two weeks ago, I was a vendor at the Union City Festival of Trees at my alma mater, Union City Elementary School.  It was a two day festival that included not only a gym full of vendors, but a collection of Christmas trees decorated in a variety of ways for the public to vote on, activities for the kids, and a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Here is one of the hand-painted ornaments I made specifically for this show.  (Go Bears!)

I had my #RCpenguin coloring pages to hand out and entertained myself by coloring one in.

I did my part to support the local student organizations by buying some cookies.

My business card bunny was sporting a Steelers jersey on game day.

"Good news!  I saw a dog today!" -Buddy the elf.

And it was Sophie, a local certified therapy dog decked out as Santa Paws bringing smiles and cuddles to festival attendees.

A view of the venue.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season.  I've already got some awesome things in the works for next year.  I appreciate all your support!  Love you all.

Holiday Art Market

As I wrap up the year, I'm trying to get caught up on my blogging.  Three weeks ago, I headed down to Sharon to set up shop at their Holiday Art Market at The Landing.  The venue was some sort of old factory that was being converted into studios, etc. and I wasn't quite sure what to expect from my first time doing this event.  I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout and quite a few of my creations found new homes.  I even got to see some familiar faces and talk to some of my Sharon area artist friends.  As usual, I experimented with a new arrangement and display.  Every time I set up, I learn something new!

Seamus is always in the Christmas spirit!

Peace Rocks PA is very active in this area so I brought some rocks from my latest batch and they were quickly snatched up and on their way to new adventures!

I shared a room with two other vendors including the renter of this particular room.  Her handmade soaps smelled wonderful!

October Evenings

Ok so I'm a little behind on my blog... but, back in October I participated in Meadville Council on the Arts juried art show "October Evenings" for the second year in a row.  I entered my painting "So Much More" and my 3D painting "Malachi."  The show was nearly canceled due some electrical work being done in the building that houses MCA's gallery.  Fortunately, Meadville Fine Arts was kind enough to lend their space for the show.  (Thank you!)  Some additional good news: "Malachi" is now for sale at Meadville Fine Arts!  If you're ever in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by.  There's lots of awesome stuff in there not to mention art supplies.  Thanks for stopping by today!
