This past Sunday, I spent the day at the Treasures and Trinkets Craft Show at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Pittsfield, PA. It was my first time doing this event which also included a vintage car cruise-in, basket raffle, and a chicken BBQ. It was shaping up to be a great day, but a series of hard rain showers definitely put a damper on things. Yet, there are some upsides to every show including finding new ways to setup my booth and arrange my art and crafts, meet new people, learn about some other opportunities, and work on some projects (which I would be doing at home anyway!)
There was an People's Choice award for the best decorated booth and my new bunny decoration was trying to encourage some votes my way!
I had some of my bird wall ornaments available. You can find the rest for sale at the Painted Finch Gallery in Corry and B3 Gallery and Gifts in Erie!
I also put a few of my ACEOs (Art Card Editions and Originals) in little frames. People thought they were cute.
Here's a peek outside the door. The weather wasn't very cooperative as it poured on and off all day.
There were three buildings full of crafters and vendors.
I tried to keep myself busy working on some of the exercises from the Corry Artists' Guild's Sketchbook Competition.
"Draw a vehicle." Why not a scooter?
With less than an hour left to go, the power went out (because of course it did...) It was a shame the weather spoiled what seemed like a great event. Thank you to all the organizers for their hard work and my fellow vendors and the folks who braved the showers to come out.
Seamus the Wonder Penguin is ready for his next adventure! Our next planned stop is the Hermitage Arts Festival July 14 and 15. After that is Waterfire in Sharon on July 21st. I hope to see you there!
