Texas School 2018

At the end of this past month of April, I spent the week at Texas School of Professional Photography in Addison, Texas.  It was my first time attending the school and it was an awesome experience!  (I'm already excited for next year!)  I got to take a course called "Lifestyle Environmental" which focused on family and individual environmental portraits in a variety of lighting scenarios.  We practiced on live models using available light as well as strobes and reflectors.  I learned quite a few things that I hope will help my business.  However, getting to travel and have an adventure was also good for the soul.  I'd never been to Texas before so I got to cross another state off the list.

Here we are having class in a beautiful Addison neighborhood.

I got to meet a bunch of wonderful people and fellow photogs.

Here I am at graduation with my certificate and my instructor Don MacGregor.

It was an intensive week of photography, but I found some time for some art, too!

I colored one of my #RCpenguin coloring pages at the Philadelphia airport.  It turned out to be a good luck charm as the Penguins went on to eliminate the Flyers the next day!

Art Everywhere (in the air!)  Here is some napkin art as we flew over the midwest.

Waiting for a seminar to start, I doodled in my Moleskine at the Starbucks in the hotel lobby.

There were so many restaurants and food to try.  One day, I walked to a nearby Pei Wei to get some lunch.  Here's some more napkin art I did while waiting to go to a movie.
