This past Saturday, I participated in my first Erie Handmade Fair. It was wonderful to have an event that focused on and promoted handmade vendors and artisans. Not only that, but it was all for a great cause. Proceeds from the show and the auction benefitted the Autism Society NWPA. Over $400 was raised! The event was held at the Polish Falcons in downtown Erie and featured a wide range of vendors: everything from doll clothes to soap and paintings to fiber crafts and clothing. Not a great sales day, but I did sell one of my kitty ornaments to Santa and Mrs. Claus. (They had the photo to prove it!) Maybe if I'm good this year, he'll bring me a Nikon D5... Anyway, the plan for my next stop is the Starving Artist Sale at Cravings in Sharon, PA as part of the city's Spring Fling event. I've never done that one before either (I think it's the first year for it) and I'm excited. I have some artwork I would really like to find homes for to make room for the new stuff. Hope to see you there! Mention this post and maybe I'll have a surprise for you! Thanks for stopping by today!
