Sunday in the Park

This past Sunday was the annual Sunday in the Park festival in Corry.  Right there in City Park, there are craft vendors, musicians in the gazebo, a photobooth (manned by one of my coworkers,) food vendors, bouncy houses and such for the kids, as well as a judged art show housed in one of the Artists' Guild tents.  So that's where I hung out.  I didn't sign up for a specific duty, but I figured I could be on hand in case they needed help.  At least, I could demonstrate and by demonstrate, I mean sit at the table and work on a new bird drawing.

It turned out to be a beautiful day.  By the time I got there, things were pretty much all set up with the exception of hanging the last of the entries.  The show was open to everyone, not just the people in the the Guild, and you were allowed to enter one piece in each of the categories for judging.  I entered pieces in drawing, painting, and photography.

My "Lorcan" won third place in Adult Painting.

My drawing "Only Ask It of Me" won first place in Adult Drawing.  (Yay!)
My portrait of Rory, "Handsome Boy," not only one first place in Adult Photography, but won Best of Show!  Now everyone in Corry, PA know what a handsome boy he is!
