To Do/ To Get Books

Live creatively and illustrate your To Do list or your grocery lists.

Yeah, you can do it on your fancy pants smartphone, but where's the satisfaction in that? Besides, some of us remember things better when we write things down. The pictures you draw can also serve as reminders.
Start with a pocket sketchbook preferably with a hard cover. Think of cool ways to work in your lists with designs and images. Look at ways text is incorporated in everyday things like thought bubbles, stickers, labels, and buttons.

Cat in Bed

Here, I've started going through the excercises in this book that I bought with the intent of jump-starting my creativity and for the first excercise requires drawing cats. So I put a t-shirt down on the pillow and drew about 30 cats in all with a fine permanent marker. Ta-da!
